Treo 750 Windows Mobile 6 update has expired
As of November 1, 2008, the promotional update to Windows Mobile 6 for Treo 750 smartphones is no longer available.
The update was optional; Treo 750 running Windows Mobile 5 will continue to work and function as before. Treo 750 devices began shipping with Windows Mobile 6 pre-installed after November 30, 2007. To check the version of Windows Mobile software that your device is running, please follow the steps listed below.
Microsoft announced a new version of its OS—Windows Mobile 6.1 – which is available on the Treo Pro. Palm offers this next generation Windows Mobile smartphone via the Palm website.
What version of Microsoft Windows Mobile software is on my Treo 750?
- On the Today screen open the Start menu
- Select Settings > System Tab > About
- On the About Screen read the first text line under the page heading, this states the version of Windows Mobile OS that is running on the device.
